General information
The cylindrical / panel air filter is commonly referred to as a replacement air filter. It is installed in the original air box of the vehicle to replace the OEM air filter. It is made from high performance materials that allow for increased airflow combined with more efficient filtration, ensuring that all impurities from as little as 7 microns (compared to 10 microns for OEM) are contained.
The air filters BMC are manufactured using a Full Molding system which allows the characteristic red filter to be made from a single mould without welded seams, thus avoiding easy breakage. The rubber used in BMC air filter systems has a long life, is very durable and has optimum adhesion characteristics to all airbox shapes.
The BMC filters are made of a multi-layered cotton gauze soaked with low viscosity oil coated with an epoxy coated alloy mesh to ensure protection against petrol fumes and oxidation due to moisture in the air.
All air filters BMC are pre-oiled and can be washed and regenerated using the appropriate regeneration kit BMC.
