Developed as an upgrade to complete a full system when combined with the Akrapovič Slip-On Line (titanium) exhaust, this manifold is made of high quality titanium with a carbon fibre heat shield. Designed exclusively for closed circuit racing, it improves performance and reduces weight.
Larger diameter pipes than the stock system and the elimination of the catalytic converter allow for improved gas flow. The pre-silencer offers a unique sound experience, producing a deep racing sound from the boxer engine. This improvement results in a weight reduction of 54.84% (3.4 kg) compared to the standard system. When combined with the Slip-On line (titanium), it increases power by 3.1 kW (4.2 hp) at 7800 rpm and torque by 5.9 Nm at 3000 rpm, according to Akrapovič dyno tests on a BMW R 1300 R equipped with a stock system. Installation is plug-and-play, but remapping is mandatory.
