This improvement results in a weight reduction of 54.84 % (3.4 kg) compared to the standard system.
In combination with the Slip-On Line (Titanium), it increases power by 3.1 kW (4.2 hp) at 7800 rpm and torque by 5.9 Nm at 3000 rpm, according to Akrapovič dyno tests against a BMW R 1300 R equipped with the standard system.
Installation is plug-and-play, but reprogramming is mandatory. The optional manifold is also compatible with the standard Akrapovič silencer (first installation) or the BMW Motorrad accessory Akrapovič silencer.
With the installation of the optional header pipe (Titanium), the ECE type approval for the Slip-On line (Titanium) is no longer valid.
When installing the optional manifold on Euro5+ motorbikes (2 lambda sensors), the check engine light will light up after detecting a deviation in the parameters of the standard catalytic converter.
For optimal performance, drivability and durability, a special electronic equipment developed by Rapid Bike by Dimsport can be used.
This new device helps to avoid potential problems with the check engine light, while optimising power delivery, personalising the riding experience and providing a diagnostic tool for the user.
